Instead of the bearings sitting inside the frame shell directly, PF30's bearings are inserted into plastic cups that are easier to press into the frame. The PF30 system allows adding an integrated sealing system, which helps prolong bearing life. With the plastic cups, the PF30 bottom bracket frame shell has a diameter of 46mm (compared to 42mm for a BB30) and the same width, 68mm for Road or 73mm for MTB. To accommodate Shimano 24mm spindle crankset, we have developed this PF30 Shimano ceramic bottom bracket to adapt Shimano 24mm cranks in a PF30 frame.
