The ProducerMarkus and his wife, Monika, took over the Bibo Runge winery in the Rheingau in 2017 and have continued to follow their long-standing passion, focusing on aroma-intensive wines that are superbly crafted. Their philosophy of “good wine needs time” shines through in the wine process: hand-picked grapes from the old vines in Hallgarten, long maceration time, gentle pressing and slow ageing in wooden barrels is their foundation for top quality wines bursting with aromas. The mantra of slowness and patience comes through in their drive for sustainability. Since 2001, Bibo Runge are certified members of FAIR’N GREEN and are one of the wineries with the smallest CO2 footprint.
